Terms of Service

These terms apply when you download, buy or use Trove. They are meant to be readable. If something here is unclear, ask and we will explain it.
The licence
When you buy Trove you get a personal, non-exclusive licence to use the app on computers you own or control. A licence key covers one year of new releases. When that year ends the app keeps working — you simply stop receiving updates until you renew.
You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute the app or your licence key, or attempt to defeat the licence check.
Your files are yours
Trove is a tool you point at your own data. You keep every right you had in your files. We claim nothing over them, and as described in the Privacy Policy we do not receive them.
Connecting other services
Trove can connect to third-party services such as file servers, object stores and cloud drives. You are responsible for having the right to access whatever you connect, and for complying with that service's own terms. Those services are not operated by us, and we are not responsible for them, their availability, or what they do with your data.
Acceptable use
Do not use Trove to break the law, to access systems or data you have no right to, or to infringe someone else's rights.
Payment and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout and include any taxes we are required to collect.
If Trove does not work for you, email support@grabtrove.com within 3 days of purchase and we will refund you. We would rather fix the problem, so tell us what went wrong either way.
Where the law gives you a longer cancellation right — for example the statutory withdrawal period for consumers in the UK and EU — that right applies regardless of the window above.
Availability and changes
Trove is under active development. Features may be added, changed or removed between releases. We will not knowingly remove something you rely on without saying so in the release notes.
No warranty
Trove is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. A file manager moves and deletes files: keep backups. You are responsible for the operations you ask the app to perform.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to Trove is limited to the amount you paid for your licence in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost data, lost profits or business interruption.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Ending the licence
You may stop using Trove at any time. We may end a licence if these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached — for example, redistributing licence keys — and will normally warn you first.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Florida have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
This does not remove any consumer protection you are entitled to under the law of the country where you live.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, the date at the top will change. Continuing to use Trove after that means the updated terms apply.
